Classical Women with Angel By Pemberton Ginther

The painting that I’m chose looks like an picture that is set in the times where Jesus was on earth. There are three women and a baby. They are sitting outside and it looks like they are sitting under an arch of some sort. The weather in the background of the picture is very cloudy and well detailed. They are dressed in robs that hang down from there bodies as they sit against the stone walls and on the ground. They have some type of scrolls in their hands and it seems that one of the women is reading one. They baby is also playing with one of the scrolls and it looks like she is trying to un-roll it. The women with the long pony-tail looks as if she is looking at the clouds or the baby. The women sitting on the ground looks like she is in a daze or if she is daydreaming.Trees stick out the side of the arch on both sides. Below the clouds you can see a trail that looks like it leads to a lake or a pond. This is a well detailed picture and I chose this painting because they look like they are free of all there problems and just sitting outside enjoying the weather. I also chose this painting because it is in early times and it looks like a picture one would see in the bible.
